2010 Sustainable Saturday Series Begins with Ag & Energy Tour

The 2010 Sustainable Saturday Series at 21 Acres, beginning  February 6, 2010, encourages visitors to learn and participate in activities showcasing and demonstrating sustainable agriculture, energy conservation and environmental stewardship. Beginning at 10 a.m., this is the first in the free series of Sustainable Saturdays, to be held the first Saturday of every month through November.

  • 10 a.m.-Noon - Farm and garden demonstrations. (depending on the day: Apiary,  Community Gardens, Orchard, Demonstration Gardens, etc.)
  • 11 a.m. - Ag and Energy tour. Walk the trails around the farm and back 18 and preview the new 21 Acres Center building and energy saving systems. Tour is approximately 3/4 of a mile around the property and takes a minimum of one hour.)
Note: If you can't join us during this time, take a self-guided tour any day, dawn to dusk. Tour brochures are located on the Info Kiosk at the end of the drive.
  • Possible volunteer work projects planned. Farm chores could include brush clearing, trail maintenance, light building maintenance and general garden tasks.
