21 Acres Culinary Program: Gourmet Grilling

Fresh Thinking: Cooking seasonally with sustainable ingredients sourced from local farms. The Gourmet Grilling class is offered as part of the 21 Acres School.

Memorial Day weekend marks the start of the grilling season. Chef Matt Jones will share his method for brining to guarantee moist meats from the grill, plus two great marinades, the secret to great hamburger that cooks evenly and won’t fall apart, a killer BBQ sauce and the best cuts to buy for great flavor. Standard Rate is $69, Discounted Rate for 21 Acres members is $59.

Possible recipes include:

- Brine

- Marinade x2

- Burgers

- Roasted veggies

- BBQ sauce

Mr. Jones was the executive chef and owner of the highly acclaimed Starry Nights Catering in Kirkland.
