21 Acres: Gluten Free Baking for the Holidays

Nothing says holidays quite like the smell of home baking warm from the oven. Cook book author and blogger Jeanne Sauvage will share her best recipes for traditional holiday baking in time for cookie exchange season. Jeanne will talk about different types of gluten-free flours, explain what they do and why baking techniques for gluten-free baked goods are so different to traditional methods. The results will please gluten-free gourmets and the gluten tolerant alike. Recipes are from her new book: Gluten-Free Baking for the Holidays: 60 Recipes for Traditional Festive Treats and copies will be available for sale.

Ms Sauvage is the author of the popular blog Art of Gluten-Free Baking. She has always been a fantastic baker and when she was diagnosed with a gluten allergy 10 years ago she was disappointed at the gluten-free baked goods available at the time. She set to work to develop great recipes for cakes, cookies and breads that tasted just as good as their original gluten-rich inspirations.
