Apiary
The small apiary at 21 Acres is surrounded by a hedgerow of “bee
friendly” plants that not only attract the nectar- loving honey bee,
Apis mellifera, but also divert the bees’ flight path up and over the
farm trail. Honeybees produce honey from gathering nectar from flowers.
As bees harvest this sweet bounty, they also pollinate the fields and
orchards, continuing another cycle of nature.
