Community volunteers make a difference at 21 Acres

21 Acres is recognizing the volunteers who made a difference to the organization’s agricultural programs this year. Saturday, November 1, has been designated 21 Acres Volunteer Recognition Day and everyone who has contributed in any way, an hour or a hundred hours, is invited to join the team at 11 a.m. on the Farm in the Sammamish Valley. 21 Acres is a non-profit, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization.

 The 21 Acres Center is an innovative, community-driven project that  serves as an agricultural and environmental learning center for people of all ages. It is an “agri-urban park” that is accessible to the whole community! 21 Acres includes a bio-diverse farmstead with trails for physical activity, community gardens, interpretive educational signage, and cultivated farm plots used to demonstrate sustainable and organic farming practices. 21 Acres educates both young and old about where our food comes from and how locally grown food plays a crucial role in a sustainable lifestyle.
