While the front three acres of the site are zoned to permit our public farmers market, learning center and community kitchen and are home to our community gardens, the remainder of the site, which we call the “Back 18” Farm & Trails, is zoned exclusively for agricultural production purposes and hosts our working bio-diverse farmstead that is producing food and showcasing sustainable farming and land use practices. The property will feature walkways throughout allowing for physical activity and interpretive signage telling the history of the land and explaining benefits of farming practices underway, as well as a connection to the nearby Burke-Gilman bicycle trail.
