21 Acres Hosts Secondary Acadamy of Success
Interested in volunteering with a great group of local students? Join us on Friday, June 17 for a few hours in the morning leading a small team of students, along with their teacher, in hands-on farm tasks.
Northshore School District’s Secondary Academy for Success (SAS), and their contribution to 21 Acres in this service learning program, makes a social and environmental impact in our community.
21 Acres serves as an important resource for the community by offering these educational and training opportunities and serving as a hub for sustainable farming and environmental stewardship.
Students are making the connection from community to classroom learning from mucking it up in the pond; hacking away at invasive blackberry vines; pulling weeds in the farm rows, hauling mulch and even communing with the goats.
Engaging individuals such as these SAS students in service, and inspiring a movement for change, is a priority for 21 Acres, making a true community with everyone working together discovering the power in making a difference.
