SUMMARY:Pollinator Fest 2026
DESCRIPTION:21 Acres will be buzzing with festive activities for the whole family at the fourth annual Pollinator Fest organized by Pollinator Pathway NW. Learn about the relationship between native plants and native pollinators\, how to attract pollinators to your garden\, discover alternatives to chemical pesticides\, and find ways to be a good pollinator steward. Become part of the pollinator pathway and take direct action to nurture pollinators\, which are critical to our local food systems. \nThere will be native plant info\, organic gardening tips\, a long list of inspiration booths and artisan vendors\, guest speakers\, an Indigenous plant walking tour\, and a tour or the PPNW pollinator garden on the 21 Acres campus. A list of booths and vendors can be found on the event website. \nHave your picture taken in a pollinator photo booth\, play at the kid’s table\, check out entomologist Bob Gillespie’s impressive insects\, and enjoy an art display featuring the winning entries for the Woodinville Garden Club Pollinator Art Contest. \nWe’ll have food trucks! Off the Rez will be serving made-from-scratch Native cuisine\, burgers and tacos; and La Rivera Maya will offer Guatemalan/Central American food. And\, yes\, there will be coffee by Kafe Coffee Cart. \nWe hope you’ll join in the fun and encourage you to carpool with family and friends. Additional parking will be available at our neighbors nearby\, and this year there’ll be a shuttle from the Woodinville Park & Ride.  \nOur Keynote Speaker will be Sue Goetz\, a garden designer\, writer and speaker\, and owner of the garden design business\, Creative Gardener. Sue will present “Garden Design for Bees\, \nButterflies and Other Good Things!” with tips on how to design a garden that not only feeds pollinators but provides habitat for them with shelter\, water\, eco-friendly care and\, of course\, the plants! Later\, join Sue for a hands-on workshop\, “Plant by Number Gardens for Pollinators!” to create your landing spot along a pollinator’s flight path\, with tips on how to color up your garden with designer combos for mini\, pocket gardens\, container gardens\, and mixed landscape borders. \nPollinator Fest is a collaboration between 21 Acres and Pollinator Pathway NW\, with thanks to the City of Woodinville\, Woodinville Garden Club\, Sammamish Valley Grange\, EvergreenHealth Foundation\, Coastal Bank\, King County Alan M. Painter Community Engagement Grant\, and Fairwinds-Brittany Park Retirement Community for their generous financial support.
