  • We’re pleased to partner with Cedar Mountain Herb School to host classes at 21 Acres. This specific class is just one out of ten very interesting topics offered this winter and in the early spring!

The most frequent request Suzanne Tabert gets from students is to reveal the herbs and remedies that she uses in her daily life. In this workshop, Suzanne will unpack the medicine of her 10 most wanted wild plants of the Pacific Northwest for 2019, with best preparations for extracting and preserving the medicine and appropriate applications. She’ll even throw in geeky science stuff like the specific chemicals found in each plant that will give you the “how and why” of what the plants do in YOUR body. Then she’ll dive deep inside the plants to go beyond simply “this herb is good for this issue.”

The most frequent request Suzanne gets from students is to reveal the herbs and remedies that she uses in her daily life. As a wildcrafter, Suzanne is always on the lookout for a wide variety of wild plant stands, and harvests and teaches about dozens more; however, she does have favorites!

In this workshop, Suzanne will unpack the medicine of her 10 favorite wild plants of the Pacific Northwest, with best preparations for extracting and preserving the medicine and appropriate applications. She’ll discuss the specific chemicals found in each plant and the “how and why” of what the plants do in YOUR body. That is what’s different at Cedar Mountain Herb School—they dive deep inside the plants and our bodies to go beyond simply “this herb is good for this issue!” The extra knowledge you gain from CMHS will give you street cred when talking about herbal medicine with those who might be skeptical.
