21 Acres Farm Walk
21 Acres Farm Walk
- date: March 26, 2022
- time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Farming has never been more essential to our local and global communities. Join us for an in-person walk on the 21 Acres Farm to explore how agroecology, soil health, and land stewardship can build resilient local food economies and impact climate action. Join us every fourth Saturday of the month as we uncover what farming in the Sammamish Valley looks like. Visit our animals, Organic fields, solar-powered projects, and much more.
This month, as campus warms up to support the food we’re starting in our greenhouses, we’re delighted to share the importance of our active wetlands on the farm and how they support our farming practices. Wetlands play an integral role in our global and local ecosystems– this rainy month we are able to witness them in action! In addition to a wetlands-centric theme, we’ll walk through our farm operations and show you how we prepare for the growing seasons to come.
Bring your questions! This interactive hour will be held in person on the 21 Acres campus. Join us in the lobby on the second floor ahead of the tour.
Note: Farm tour is not ADA Accessible. This event will not have a virtual option or be recorded. However, we are closely monitoring coronavirus news and guidelines from King County and will provide updates if the situation changes.
