A free talk on everyone’s favorite indulgence: CHOCOLATE! February is National Chocolate Month and, since we eat an average of 9.5 lbs of chocolate every year (!), why not make sure your chocolate choices align with your commitment of living a more sustainable life?
Local chocolatier, Kevin Miodonski, will provide some fascinating insight into our favorite indulgence in this FREE one-hour presentation on chocolate. We will dive into what chocolate is, where it comes from, and how commercial chocolates are made. Explore different cocoa beans; white, milk, and dark chocolate; what “Fair Trade chocolate” is and why it is important to cacao growers. You aren’t going to want to miss this event, sure to make your mouth water!
Follow up the talk with a trip through the Farm Market to taste and purchase some of the best sustainable chocolates in the area!
