Arbor Ed: A Day of Growth and Learning

The City of Woodinville is hosting their own Arbor Day event this year: Arbor Ed, an opportunity for you to learn about the importance of trees for the health of our planet. The morning will feature tree planting demos, book readings, crafts and info on how to support pollinators in our gardens. PNW native tree saplings will be available for you to take home and plant in your own yard (while supplies last). This free event takes place at Woodinville City Hall, 17301 133rd Ave NE, and promises TREEmendous fun for all!
Activities:
9:00 am to 12:00 pm – One, two, TREE, an intro to tree planting with step-by-step guidance from Woodinville Garden Club members on how to plant and care for different tree species that are native to the PNW. Take home a FREE tree sapling!
9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 am – Story time with the Woodinville Library featuring children’s book readings inspired by trees and nature.
9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Arbor arts and crafts.
9:00 am – 12:00 pm (between book readings) – Pollinator Pathway NW, a project of 21 Acres, will teach us all about what makes a pollinator garden and why pollinators matter to the world.
