Cooking Class: Get Your Goat Cheesemaking!

  • Join professional cheesemaker, Meghan McKenna, as she guides you through the wonderful world of goat cheesemaking. Goat’s milk cheese is a fantastic alternative for those who may not tolerate cow’s milk cheese. In this class, you will learn to use local, farm fresh goat’s milk to create gorgeous artisan cheeses!

    Students take home their own cheese, recipes, and the confidence to make this cheese again and again!

    We will start by making a summertime classic – fresh chevre. Then we’ll play with shapes, flavorings, and traditional coatings (like vegetable ash) to create individual goat cheese masterpieces. The class will also explore the next steps to creating delicious bloomy-rind goat cheese, like crottin… Finally, we will work together to make a couple creative summertime recipes using goat cheese.
