Crop Walk for Hunger
Crop Walk for Hunger
- date: September 22, 2018
- time: 8:30 am - 11:00 am
Join us for the annual Crop Hunger Walk this Saturday! The walk begins at the Carol Edwards Center and has the option of adding on a jaunt around the 21 Acres Farm! Registration begins at 8:30am and the walk begins at 9am. You’ll walk a three mile loop (plus whatever distance you choose to walk on the Farm) to raise funds to relieve hunger in our community and abroad.
This year 25% of funds raised will go to two programs:
The Northshore Community Kitchen is a partnership between the Northshore Council PTSA and the Northshore YMCA, seeking to alleviate student hunger.
Farms for Life acts as a bridge for local farmers to distribute fresh produce to people who don’t have access to healthy food.
After the Crop Walk, participate in a special day on campus at 21 Acres as part of the Sammamish Valley Fall Celebration. There will be kids’ activities, demonstrations, tastings and more!
