Farm Club: Nature Art
Farm Club: Nature Art
- date: June 24, 2020
- time: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Bringing the farm and fun to you! Twice a month, we will pose a new challenge or activity that can be done from home. After trying out the activity, youth are encouraged to join us for a community share on Zoom. Check out our Fun Things to Do for more information and to sign up.
This week’s challenge is to create meaningful, temporary art out of what we find in our neighborhoods. We’re all spending more time at home — let’s take a minute to observe all the tiny beauty happening around our everyday environments.
How to do it:
1. Take a walk around your neighborhood, or backyard, or nearby park, or even your room. What stands out to you?
2. Collect a few objects along the way. Things like fallen leaves, soil, rocks, sticks, and weeds are great options. (Remember to not pick your neighbor’s flowers & to be good stewards of living plants.)
3. Create an art piece from your found objects. This art is meant to be a part of nature; it’s okay if it blows away tomorrow!
4. Take a picture of your nature art to share and send it to emilyp@21acres.org.
Our Community Share Zoom Call will be on on June 24th! We will be sharing how we did on this week’s challenge and learning more about what we observed in our neighborhoods. All are welcome.

The activity is geared towards elementary school aged youth, but all are welcome to participate.
