    • Meet farmers Marshall, Shawn, Andrew, Lauren and Kevin at April’s First Saturday in the Farm Market, on April 7th. They will all be on the front patio from 10-4.

    Marshall (Alki Market Garden), Shawn (Tuk Muk Farm), and Andrew (21 Acres Farm) will be selling plant starts from their farms. For those of you interested in starts for a garden at home, planting a pot on the front porch, or just interested in learning about seeding plants for transfer to the fields, these young farmers are the experts to ask!

    Lauren and Kevin (Lettuce Love Farm) will have an assortment of goodies for you to peruse, including: eggs, microgreens, veggies, and jewelry made with feathers from their own birds.

    If you’re looking for another great activity for the kids that weekend, Tonnemaker Valley Farm, our neighbor in the valley, is hosting a free Kid’s Pizza Garden Event. Register online for Saturday or Sunday so they know how many young gardeners (and pizza eaters) to expect.

     

    Visit 21 Acres’ Farm Market the First Saturday of every month and you can enjoy cooking demos by guest chefs, learn how to use seasonal produce, acquire an essential skill, or find out something new about our farmers, products and growing practices.
