First Saturday in the Farm Market: Celebrate Spring!

    • Celebrate spring at 21 Acres and join in a fun, free event for all ages! Shop in the Farm Market and enjoy cooking demos and delicious samples. Take part in a mycology workshop, led by Fungi Perfecti, and find out how to grow mushrooms at home. Join our volunteer work party out on the farm and learn something new (be sure to say “hello” to the 21 Acres’ goats!).

    There will be plenty of kids’ activities, including crafts with Seattle Recreative and a mesmerizing demonstration by all-time favorite, John the Falconer! Families always flock to the farm to see John and his spectacular feathered friends and learn about the integral part raptors play in our environment – even in the city!

    Kick off spring the right way!

    Here is a list of the day’s activities:

         10-4pm, First Saturday in the Market; cooking demos, samples

         10-1pm, Kids activities; John the Falconer, Seattle Recreative

         10-2:30pm, Volunteer Work Party on the Farm

         1:30-3:30pm, Gardening with Mushrooms led by Fungi Perfecti
