Sammamish Valley Alliance and 21 Acres are partnering for the Second Annual Sammamish Valley Seed Swap! Hosted at 21 Acres in Woodinville, this event is free for all gardeners and small farmers. Bring any seeds you have and would like to share (please no GMO or any treated seeds). If you don’ t have any seeds yet, that’s okay, there will be plenty to share!
A DIY station will be set up to make seed packets.
If you’ve never been to a seed swap, here are the rules:
– Bring cleaned/hulled seeds that are no more than three years old.
– Seed company seeds in their original packing are fine.
– Seeds collected from your garden are great as long as they were not collected from hybrid plants (because they won’t reproduce correctly). Heirloom seeds are terrific!
– Include as much info about the seeds as you can (botanical and varietal name if you have it, where they grow, how many days to harvest, year collected, etc.
– Bring envelopes or other packaging to put your seeds in.
– This is a No-GMO seed swap.
– Most of all have fun with your friends and neighbors!
