Sammamish Valley Giant Pumpkin Weigh-in
Sammamish Valley Giant Pumpkin Weigh-in
- date: October 23, 2021
- time: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
If you love pumpkins, this event is for you! Every year, the Sammamish Valley farmers compete in an epic contest to grow the biggest pumpkin in their fields, and we know you want to see them in person.
Join the Sammamish Valley Alliance farmers and their pumpkins on the 21 Acres patio (near Farm Market) Saturday, October 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Costumes are encouraged! Celebrate these giant pumpkins and participate in other fun activities:
-Cast your vote for which pumpkins are, if not the biggest; the prettiest, ugliest, and those with the most unusual shapes!
-Meet the valley farmers and learn about their farming practices
-Bring your kids and creative skills to color fall harvest coloring pages
-Go on the (cup)cakewalk and win a tasty cupcake
-Wear your most festive fall costume (though not required!)
-Join our free Farm Walk to learn about regenerative farming practices on the 21 Acres campus
-Purchase organically-grown pumpkins (and other seasonal produce) from the 21 Acres Local Foods Farm Market
-Go home with a few giant pumpkin seeds to grow your own next year
–…and more! We can’t wait to see you at the Sammamish Valley Giant Pumpkin Weigh-in!
All ages are welcome and activities are free. Events will be held outdoors on slightly uneven ground. Please wear good footwear with closed-toe shoes.
