U-Pick Blackberries at the Farm
U-Pick Blackberries at the Farm
- date: August 14, 2021
- time: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
There’s a bounty of berries growing on the farm, which means it’s time for U-Pick Blackberries! Bring along your berry best friends, family, and neighbors to come and pick our wild-growing Himalayan and evergreen blackberries. These berries are entirely chemical-free thanks to our Organic and agroecological approach to farming!
For safety on our farm and campus, be sure to wear your finest berry picking gear: thick gloves, long-sleeved pants and shirts, and proper footwear. 21 Acres will provide directions through the farm to the blackberries. Be sure to bring your own containers!
This event is free with a suggested donation of $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family. Thanks for supporting our programs! You can donate virtually here: https://21acres.org/make-a-contribution/
Safety & Recommended Gear:
Masks are required inside of the 21 Acres building. Masks are not required in blackberry picking areas as long as you are able to maintain social distancing.
We recommend all berry pickers wear gloves, long-sleeved pants and shirts, and proper footwear to ensure their safety. Please bring your own containers and clippers for U-Picking. 21 Acres will not be able to provide containers for these events, and clippers can be helpful to clear vines out of the way.
Please ensure all guests are registered for the safety of all. There may not be staff on site when you come to the farm. By registering for this event, you agree to our liability waivers.
U-Pick sessions will be held Wednesdays, August 11th and 18th from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., and Saturdays, August 18th and 21st from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Dates may be subject to change due to the availability of fruit on the vine!
