Class: Pacific Northwest Veggies with Asian Flair

  • Join culinary instructor Yuka Honda of Cook Veggies At Home in this hands-on culinary exploration of locally grown Asian vegetables. Yuka will educate guests on how to build Asian flavors using seasonal Pacific Northwest ingredients. The menu will include Japanese style simmered root vegetables, and Chinese style chicken stir fry with Korean style pickles.

    Yuka Honda:
    Yuka has been sharing healthy living life style in her Japanese community for many years. She learned importance of food and environments to sustain one’s health after her experience with the Chernobyl nuclear accident . Now she teaches simple easy tasty vegetable home cooking. She shares simple recipes, teach easy cooking technique and tells traditional wisdom with 21st century scientific knowledge.

    Registration is required in advance for culinary programs. All proceeds benefit educational programming at 21 Acres and initiatives related to accelerating social change toward more sustainable ways of growing, eating and living that protect the environment while supporting a better quality of life.
