- date: July 20, 2017
- time: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join farm-to-table chef, Michaela Skloven, to explore the farm’s summer bounty in the 21 Acres Farm Market and Kitchen. The Puget Sound area is overflowing with incredible culinary resources, from foraged to farmed to fished, and there’s no better way to cook and eat than using what is right in your own backyard! We’ll start this class in our 21 Acres Farm Market with a brief introduction on how to use the farmers market for inspiration on how to create stunning summer salads, delicious grain bowls, and rustic crostini.
Then we’ll gather in the kitchen to make marinated cucumber and summer onion salad with soft herbs and homemade ricotta, fresh shelling beans and roasted broccoli crostini with pancetta, and nutty farro with tomatoes, Golden Glen aged cheddar, and basil. Michaela’s class will give you the confidence you need to explore local farmers markets without your shopping list and let the seasonal ingredients decide your next potluck, picnic, or dinner party under the stars! With wheat and diary, nuts optional.
