Tuesdays@21: Seeds for Diversity
Tuesdays@21: Seeds for Diversity
- date: January 31, 2017
- time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
This presentation with Andrew Ely, 21 Acres Farm, will focus on seed experiments you can do in your garden or farm with the intention of increasing diversity and selecting for well-adapted plants. We will demystify the differences between hybrid, heirloom, open-pollinated, and genetically-engineered plants. The evening will also feature a “How to harvest and store seeds” demonstration so you can start to plan your green space with the purpose of growing your favorite plants for many years to come.
Doors open at 6:30 pm for networking; Program starts at 7 pm. Tuesdays@21 are free events, but registration is encouraged.
All participants receive 10% off Farm Market purchases the week following the Tuesday at 21 event. For more information or to “make your pitch” for a Tuesdays at 21 presentation, call 425-481-1500 or send an email to deb@21acres.org.
